Quilting Arts Demo Day

Inspired by Quilting Art Magazine, Phyllis and Beth Ann will be demonstrating some of their favorite contemporary quilting, fiber art, and surface design techniques.  Pick up great tips and tricks for working with exciting new materials such as Angelina fibers, Kreinik iron-on thread, wool roving, rubbing plates, Shiva paint sticks, Swarovski crystals, and more! Transform a favorite photo into fabric using Natalie Sewell & Nancy Zieman’s method of raw edge appliqué and create a work of art! You provide the inspirational photo and fabric and interpret it with your creativity.  Some knowledge of design and eye for color or previous landscape making experience is required. Either of the books: Landscape Quilts or The Art of Landscape Quilting by Sewell/Zieman is recommended if you are not familiar with this technique. The model is a must see!
