Intro to Needle Felting by Hand or Machine with Phyllis Duffy

If you’re curious as to how you can utilize all the wonderful wool roving colors and fibers carried by Lakeshore Sewing, this class is for you.  Learn to needle felt a still life or landscape by hand, then finish it off using the embellisher machine. A machine will be provided.

Paintstiks on Fabric: Simple Techniques, Fantastic Results with Beth Ann Williams 

Using Shelly Stokes’   comprehensive book of the same name as our guide, we’ll explore a variety of techniques for adding great color and visual texture to everything from commercial fabrics to finished quilts, garments, and accessories. This will be a hands-on class, so come prepared to play!

Introduction to Fabric Postcards
with  Phyllis Duffy

Learn all about making and mailing fabric postcards. Catch on to this world wide, fast growing craze that is recognized in some quilt shows as an art in itself.  4x6 inch pieces of art can be created by you and sent to friends and family.  These are cards that will be collected and saved by all who receive them.  Chances are, you already have most of what you need to create a variety of cards.  Leave with one or more cards made and ready to mail. Fun with Fabric Paints with Beth Ann Williams

Discover fun and easy ways to use fabric paints to add wonderful color and visual texture to your quilts, wearable’s and accessories. Experience how exciting it can be to design your own fabric from scratch, “sweeten” a commercial fabric, or turn any “ugly ducklings” hidden in your fabric stash into swans.
Beginner - Intermediate
Cost: $25
with an additional $10 supplies fee payable to the instructor to cover supplies provided during the class.

Walter Floriani Embroidery Seminar

Walter Floriani is a fifth generation embroiderer. His family history dates back to the days of mechanized embroidery.  He and his wife have owned and operated their business since 1981.  Their products include “Floriani Favorites” embroidery designs, The “FUNclub” (Floriani United Network for Embroidery Education), and a new line of stabilizers and threads created specifically for machine embroidery.
Master embroidery from start to finish!  Everyone from the novice to the experienced will benefit from the knowledge of the “Embroidery Guru,” Walter Floriani.  Learn how to look at any design and see how it was digitized, which is important when preparing your garment or fabric for stitching.  You will learn how the design will stitch and maximize the performance of your machine.

6:00- 9:00 p.m.  Sign up early—this seminar will fill very quickly.
