We offer a many classes in a variety of skill levels at both stores. If you ever have a question as to whether you will be able to follow in a class, please don't hesitate to call us. Many of our supply lists have the teacher's phone number and/or email address listed. They, and our store staff will be happy to help place you in the appropriate class.

Skill levels:
Beginner: Appropriate for any skill level - even no sewing experience.

Advanced Beginner: Requires basic skills, like using a rotary cutter & sewing an accurate ¼” seam allowance.

Intermediate/Advanced: These classes use techniques more suited to those who have successfully completed several other projects and are ready to build on those experiences.

Please note that unless otherwise indicated, quilt classes are intended to complete the quilt top only. If you need assistance beyond that point, we’d be happy to help you or we will suggest another class that would teach you the necessary skills (i.e. Machine Quilting).

Lakeshore Sewing Class Policies:

Members of Lakeshore’s Club Card program will automatically save 20% on their fabric, notions, patterns and books for class. Students who are not Club Card members will receive a 10% discount on their class supplies.
Class fees do not include materials and supplies unless otherwise noted.

You may register online, in person, or by phone. If you register by phone and are not paying with a credit card, you have one week to mail or bring in your payment to hold your place in class. Class supply lists may be downloaded online or picked up at the store where the class will be held.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice cannot be refunded. There will be a full refund if we need to cancel the class for any reason (such as weather conditions).

We like to start our classes promptly at the scheduled time, so please come a few minutes early if you need to set up your sewing machine or purchase supplies.

In order to provide a safe, adult environment, we cannot have children in our adult classes. Sorry.

In case of questionable weather, please call ahead to confirm your class. We will make every effort to reach you in case of a weather cancellation so please make sure we have an appropriate phone number to reach you.
